Dinosaur Themed Art Classes Offered at the North Dakota Heritage Center
BISMARCK – Area youth ages 11-16 are invited to sign up for “Jurassic Art,” a series of free dinosaur-themed art classes at the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum. The two-hour classes will be held Wednesdays at 10 a.m. beginning June 8 until June 29. Class participants will cast their own prehistoric pieces in plaster, draw dynamic dinosaurs, sculpt, and create marionettes. All materials will be provided.
The classes will be led by Jessica Rockeman and Becky Barnes. Rockeman is the author of “How to Draw Dinosaurs” and is a new media specialist for the State Historical Society of North Dakota. Barnes is an artist and paleontologist with the North Dakota Geological Survey.
