“12th Night in 15 Minutes” Performance by Young Bards at ND Heritage Center & State Museum
BISMARCK, N.D. – The Young Bards’ production “12th Night in 15 minutes” will be performed July 24, 2 p.m., at the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum in Bismarck. The performance is free and open to the public.
The Young Bards, Capitol Shakespeare’s youth theater program, will perform Shakespeare’s romantic comedy "12th Night." The play has been reduced to about 15 minutes while still retaining all the great characters and most well known lines.
Artistic Director Erin Weichel will speak on the growth of the Young Bards program as well as the growth of their parent company Capitol Shakespeare. Capitol Shakespeare has been performing in Bismarck for the past 15 years.
This performance is part of the State Historical Society of North Dakota's Sensational Sundays series. Sensational Sundays are free cultural programs that include a variety of lectures, concerts, movies, and tours. Young Bards will also perform prior to Capitol Shakespeare’s performances of "The Merry Wives of Windsor," July 20-24, outdoors at the Prairie Amphitheater of the ND Heritage Center & State Museum.
The North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information contact Kim Jondahl at 701.328.1476. Find a calendar of upcoming State Historical Society events at history.nd.gov/events.
