Blacksmith Demonstration To Be Held at Welk Homestead State Historic Site


BISMARCK, N.D. – Bob McCay, an amateur blacksmith, will share his knowledge of the craft on June 5 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Welk Homestead State Historic Site near Strasburg. The Bismarck resident, a blacksmith for more than 10 years, learned the craft while working with others and enjoys teaching and demonstrating these skills to the public. The event is free. 

Summer hours begin May 29. The homestead will be open Thursday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
