Say hello to the great outdoors!

This week, relax and recharge by connecting with nature! As well as being in to win, you’ll be supporting Mental Health Awareness Week. Legend.

Nature Rx Part 1
Is nature right for you?

“Nature can reduce cynicism, meaninglessness, anal retentiveness and murderous rage.”

If this video didn’t exist, we’d have created it. Watch it now.

Here's ya lunch pass!

Wahoo – it’s World Mental Health Day and to remind us how easy it is to get outside, the Mental Health Foundation is initiating a lunchtime lockout, TODAY!

To get amongst it, simply down tools at 12pm, then head outside and enjoy some of that blissful blue and green.

You could even join the event on Facebook.

There are countless studies on the mental and physical benefits of connecting with nature – from easing stress and boosting happiness to lowering our blood pressure and easing muscle tension.

To learn more, check out our Mind Your Head: Nature  webpage. It’ll have you racing for the exit. In a good way.

Not Bear Grylls?

Yeah, us neither. Fortunately, we don’t have to wrestle bears, eat locusts and escape from quicksand to get our nature-fix.

Simple things like getting out in the garden or gazing at a star-filled sky can top us up. Even potplants and nature images can help reduce stress!

WIN: A room with a view

Thanks to our friends at the Department of Conservation, we have an amazing night at Packhorse Hut to giveaway. We’ll also throw in a $100 Pak ‘n’ Save voucher to fuel you and your whānau/friends.

To be in to win, simply vote for your fave outdoor spot in Canterbury. Maybe you could visit it sometime soon!

DIY Digital Detox Box Winner

On the subject of prizes, congrats to Jayden for winning last week’s Digital Detox competition.

The family are off to Orana Park to have a close encounter with lions or tigers or lemurs, oh my.

We'll be in touch next week with our new Mind Your Head mission. Until then get out and enjoy the most beautiful place on earth!
