Wahoo – it’s World Mental Health Day and to remind us how easy it is to get outside, the Mental Health Foundation is initiating a lunchtime lockout, TODAY!
To get amongst it, simply down tools at 12pm, then head outside and enjoy some of that blissful blue and green.
There are countless studies on the mental and physical benefits of connecting with nature – from easing stress and boosting happiness to lowering our blood pressure and easing muscle tension.
To learn more, check out our Mind Your Head: Nature webpage. It’ll have you racing for the exit. In a good way.
Not Bear Grylls?
Yeah, us neither. Fortunately, we don’t have to wrestle bears, eat locusts and escape from quicksand to get our nature-fix.
Simple things like getting out in the garden or gazing at a star-filled sky can top us up. Even potplants and nature images can help reduce stress!
Thanks to our friends at the Department of Conservation, we have an amazing night at Packhorse Hut to giveaway. We’ll also throw in a $100 Pak ‘n’ Save voucher to fuel you and your whānau/friends.
