As 2012 is almost coming to a close, we at the JMI are already busy planning an exciting programme of Jewish Music for you all to enjoy in 2013. We hope to be able to announce details very soon both here via our newsletter and on our website where you can keep up to date with the very latest news and events.

Highlights for 2013 include partnering with Jewish Book Week at Kings Place for a second year running in February (watch this space for full details very soon) and an exciting summer programme including, of course, Ot Azoy!, the Golden Peacock Yiddish Song School and Klezmer in the Park.  We will also be bringing you local events across London throughout the year, including Once Upon a Time in the East – an easterly Jewish music hoedown and jam session, and a brand new evening singing course at SOAS which will be taught by Yiddish singer Rachel Weston.

Our education programme continues to grow and in January we are particularly excited to be launching our newest schools initiative 'Anotimpurile | The Seasons' - an educational journey in Romanian and Yiddish storytelling, music and dance in partnership with Harrow Music Service.

Thank you to all who came down to the Barbican for His People - it was enormously inspiring and lots of fun to improvise a live score with amazing musicians Ian Watson, Grant Windsor and Quentin Collins.  I'm delighted that our first collaboration with the Jewish Film Festival was a sell–out.

And finally...don't forget now is the perfect chance to sign up as a JMI Friend for 2013. More information on this is below.

All best wishes
