Congressional Briefing on Hepatitis B
NVHR is co-sponsoring a Congressional briefing on hepatitis B and the elimination of perinatal transmission. Senator Mazie K. Hirono is the Honorary Host of the briefing, which will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2015, from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm, in Dirksen Senate Office Building, Room G11. 2013 CDC Viral Hepatitis Surveillance Report

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has released the 2013 Viral Hepatitis Surveillance Report,  which provides data on the number of new cases of hepatitis A, B, and C as well as data to inform our understanding of the current epidemiology of chronic hepatitis B and C in the United States. 


Hepatitis C and Injection Drug Use Fact Sheet
CDC has developed a fact sheet on hepatitis C and injection drug use. The fact sheet includes an overview of hepatitis C including symptoms, testing, transmission, prevention, treatment, and reinfection.

 

A Guide to Comprehensive Hepatitis C Counseling and Testing

CDC has developed two professional resources in support of hepatitis C counseling and testing in public health and primary care settings.

Hepatitis C Provider Survey
HealthHCV, an advocacy and education initiative of HealthHIV, is launching its inaugural State of HCV Care national survey in partnership with Medscape. This survey will reach providers nationwide, specifically hepatologists, gastroenterologists, infectious disease specialists, HIV specialists, primary care providers, and others screening for and/or treating hepatitis C. Please help share this survey with providers in your networks.
