This month we invite you to join us for your first appointment with our Open Day 2016 to discover all about the study programmes taught at the school, and meet the lecturers and professors and current students! We have reviewed our Cooperation I and Digital Project Representation subjects and uploaded an interview with our Alumni José Ahedo, winner of the 2014 Wheelwright Prize on our blog. José Ahedo

José Ahedo

Born in the Basque Country in 1980 and grew up in Navarra. He studied architecture at UIC Barcelona and in 2010 he graduated from Harvard University. He is currently living part time in Navarra and travels the world the rest of the time, undertaking research on design and domestic space in rural ranchers systems after receiving the 2014 Wheelwright Prize (Harvard GSD).

Cooperation I

The main goal of this subject is to introduce students to the concept of cooperation through architecture. It often involves carrying out projects in adverse weather conditions and a lack of even the most basic materials.

Our Digital Representation Project subject focuses on conveying the necessary techniques to represent and promote project ideas through architectural visualisation and the use of computer graphics.

Bio Art and the crossover of art and science

Lula Criado and Meritxell Rosell, from Clot Magazine, gave an open lecture within the "Genetic Architecture Seminar" cycle

Via a talk entitled "Bio Art and the crossover of art and science", they gave us some insight into this new form of hybrid art that questions the limits of science and scientific research.

Open Day

As it does every year, the School of Architecture is organising an open day during which course coordinators will accompany new students and their families around campus. Thr session includes a general talk about the university and our bachelor’s degree in architecture.
