Mining Equipment Buyer
Electra Mining Africa is in full swing and the theme on Day Three is ‘Local is lekker – South African Day’. Therefore it’s apt that we zero in on the mining industry in the country. Strolling through the exhibition it’s clear there is a strong focus on digital transformation in mining. Automation and the industrial internet of things (IIoT) may seem daunting concepts but when utilised correctly they can streamline operations and lead to increased productivity. On Day One of the exhibition we got the chance to speak to Quinton McCutcheon, head of Ecostruxture at Schneider Electric, about how digitalising some, if not all, levels of your mining operations can vastly improve productivity, while creating a safer environment for workers. Read more on how the company’s digital solutions can improve your mining operations.
