Voici enfin venu le temps de vous inscrire pour notre fameux Sub-Regional Training ! Le SRT est un des plus importants événements de l’année d’IFMSA-Québec et constitue une formation reconnue internationalement pour les étudiants en médecine de partout dans le monde.

QUAND: du 17 au 19 février 2017
: dans la ville de Québec
COÛT: 37$ (inclus transport dans la ville, logement, repas et formations!)

Cette édition 2017 comprend DEUX VOLETS

(1) Le premier volet, intitulé “Leadership and Project Management - Transforming Audacious Ideas into Impactful Actions”, portera sur le leadership, le advocacy, la gestion de projet et des enjeux de santé globale. Il s’agit de la classique formation “Training New Trainers”, à la suite de laquelle vous obtiendrai un certificat de Trainer international d’IFMSA.

(2) Le second volet, intitulé “Health Care in Danger - It's a Matter of Life & Death”, élaborée avec le soutien de la Croix Rouge Canadienne et du Comité International de la Croix Rouge, concerne des problèmes et situations de crise menaçant les soins de santé et le personnel soignant à travers le monde.

Now is finally the time to register for our much awaited Sub-Regional Training! The SRT is one of IFMSA-Québec’s biggest events of the year and is an internationally renowned training for medical students from across the world.

WHEN: February 17th to 19th, 2017
WHERE: The city of Quebec
COST: 37$
DEADLINE: January 25th, 2017

This year, you can choose one of the two streams of training:

1) Leadership and Project Management - Transforming Audacious Ideas into Impactful Actions (this is a “Training New Trainers” stream, after which you receive a certificate of IFMSA international trainer)

2) Health Care in Danger - It's a Matter of Life & Death (developed with the support of the International Committee of the Red Cross, in the scope of its international campaign of the same name).

 Journée d'Action Politique de la FMEQ

IFMSA-Québec recherche un.e étudiant.e qui voudrait participer à la Journée d'action politique organisée par la FMEQ, les 3 et 4 avril 2017.
 
Qu'est-ce que la journée d'action politique (JAP)?
Il s'agit d'une opportunité unique le temps d'une journée où des étudiant.e.s en médecine de chaque association étudiante du Québec sont convié.e.s à la Colline parlementaire, à Québec, afin d'échanger avec des membres du parlement, députés comme ministres, au sujet d'enjeux qui touchent tant la population québécoise que les étudiants en médecine de la province.
 
Cette année, les délégués d'IFMSA-Québec contribueront au sujet de la taxation des boissons sucrées.

Comment appliquer?
Pour appliquer, l'étudiant.e doit faire partie de l'équipe nationale ou des équipes locales d'IFMSA-Québec. Soumettez une lettre de motivation d'environ 1 page à presidence@ifmsa.qc.ca

N. B. Les frais de déplacement seront assumés par IFMSA-Québec.

FMEQ Lobby Day

IFMSA-Québec is looking for a student who would like to participate to FMEQ's Lobby Day, on April 3-4 2017. 
 
What is the FMEQ Lobby Day?
The FMEQ Lobby DayIt is an opportunity for medical students of each students association to go to the Quebec Parliament, in Quebec city, in order to exchange with members of parliament, deputees as well as ministers, on issues that affect the Quebec population as well as medical students of the province. 
 
This year, IFMSA-Québec's delegates will contribute to the subject on Taxation of Sugar Drinks

How to apply?
In order to apply, the student must be part of the national or local teams of IFMSA-Québec. Submit a letter of motivation of around 1 page to presidence@ifmsa.qc.ca.
 
Application deadline: Sunday, January 22, 23:59
 
N. B. Travelling fees will be covered by IFMSA-Québec
 
Expectations for the selected student :
1) Participate in writing a paper on the taxation of sugar drinks along with the delegates of the other 4 medical faculties of Quebec.
2) Participate at the Lobby Day

                ADAM Summer School on Anesthesiology
                            Directed at Acute Medicine

The third edition of the ADAM Summer School in the summer of 2017! The Summer School will take place in Amsterdam from the 1st of July until the 7th of July 2017 and the registrations are open. 

The medical program of the ADAM Summer School focuses on anesthesiology and acute medicine. You will attain practical skills through simulation, for which the practical sessions take place at the Simulation Center of the VU University medical center in Amsterdam. Not only will you be simulating, there will also be opportunities to develop other skills, such as performing intubations and coniotomies. Furthermore, you will visit inspiring lectures and workshops. After this course, you will be able to handle stressful situations in the operating theater and in the shock room.  During the social program, you will explore the beautiful capital Amsterdam! There is much to discover with the rich history, culture and nightlife that Amsterdam has to offer! 

Course fee
International students: 575 euros
Dutch students: 250 euros
Included: housing, breakfast, lunch for 5 days and dinner for 6 days, airport pick-up service, medical- & social programme. For the Dutch students housing and breakfast is not included.

                                    Call for Applications:
       IFMSA AMEE Student Task Force (STF) Coordinator

                                                      [DL: January 15th]

The call is now open for Coordinator of the AMEE Student Task Force. This coordinator will be one of the 4 leaders of the entire student delegation at the AMEE conference and work with the IFMSA Liaison Officer for Medical Education and EMSA Representative to AMEE, to organize the student task force. Please note that this is the call for the IFMSA co-coordinator; EMSA members should refer to the EMSA call for coordinator.

When and where?
August 23-30, 2017. Helsinki, Finland.

How many coordinator positions are available?
1

What is covered as part of the delegation?
The coordinator will benefit from free registration to the AMEE conference (410 EUR value) and a 500 EUR stipend to cover his expenses (travel to the conference and accommodation). The funding is provided by AMEE.

Who should apply?
Students from all countries and regions are invited to apply.
Participants should have:
- Participated in at least one AMEE conference with the student task force (mandatory)
- A strong interest in medical education and leadership
- Sufficient English skills
- Time availability to coordinate the logistics of the delegation in the months leading up to the meeting
