Silent Auction & Bulldog Treats

Our Silent Auction Committee has been working tirelessly to make this the best auction yet! A variety of items, services, and experiences will be for sale, in addition to the many baskets assembled by various classrooms. Bid on vacation getaways, tickets to sporting events, restaurants, spa packages, orthodontic packages, electronics, jewelry, classroom art projects, and so much more!!!  Each item has a "Buy It Now" price, or you may stop back by the gym to check on the status of your bids!  Sections will close out at 12:30 pm, 12:45 pm, and 1 pm, and items and gift certificates may be picked up at 2 pm.

You won't want to miss the fabulous array of items geared toward WCA students and their families, including the popular Senior Parking Spot, Principal for a Day opportunities, and front-row seating for kindergarten and high school graduations!  Added to the auction this year,
Top-Level Lockers for 7th through 12th grades and Junior Parking Spot. These limited opportunities sell fast, so be sure to check out the "Buy It Now" price!

New this year, WCA is offering student internships in our silent auction.  These select positions will be available for juniors and seniors only, and provide students with an incredible opportunity to gain experience that may be used to build resumes and add to college applications, while gaining invaluable insight to possible career choices!  More details on this exciting opportunity will be sent next week via e-mail to current juniors and seniors.

Back by popular demand, and better than ever, is a huge selection of Bulldog Treats!  Simply donate $20 or $50, and you're guaranteed a prize of at least that value!  Restaurant gift cards, car washes, and Target gift cards are some of the fabulous items you could win!

Volunteers are needed to serve as parking attendants, in one-hour shifts, from 8 am until 3 pm.  Any adults interested in helping park cars within marked spaces in the large dirt lot at the corner of Wake Academy Drive and 401, should contact Dawn Russell.

Volunteers Needed
As you can imagine, MANY volunteers are needed to present an event of this size.  Please check with your child's teacher to see if you can assist with his/her classroom booth.  Students are also encouraged to volunteer, and may earn Christian Service Hours by helping with Super Saturday.  Student volunteers are needed Friday, April 19, from 3:15 pm - 5 pm; Saturday morning, from 7:30 am - 9 am; and Saturday afternoon, from 3 pm - 4 pm.  To sign up to help, please see Mrs. Knott at the front desk.

Where Does the Money Go?
A large portion of this year's Super Saturday Auction proceeds will go toward the purchase of MimioTeach bars, which turn any ordinary classroom whiteboard into a full-featured interactive whiteboard with the push of a button!  Teachers' lessons come to life with Mimio Studio software, and the products are light and portable, so they can be moved easily between classrooms.  Stop by the auction to see a live demonstration of the MimioTeach bars and find out how you can help incorporate this technology in our classrooms.   WCA is so blessed to have the opportunity to purchase new technology with the help of events like Super Saturday!  Thank you for your support!  We look forward to a fun, safe event, where we can share Christ's love with our community!
