Students on Mission
Fifth Graders at WLFJ
This week, our students collected more than 135 bags of clothing for the "With Love from Jesus" ministry. Fifth graders had the opportunity to visit WLFJ headquarters to volunteer. Thank you for your donations! What a blessing to see our students put their love into action! 1 John 3:18
Where are our Graduates Now?
Erica Buffaloe Underwood, '07, and Chris Underwood, '07
Chris and Erica Underwood met in middle school at WCA and began dating in 10th grade. "It started with passing notes," Erica said, and was quick to add, "but not during class, of course!" The couple continued dating through high school and made many memories together. They both shared a love of basketball, and both of their teams won state titles during their senior year. After graduating from WCA, Erica went to college in Winston Salem, while Chris stayed in Raleigh. They continued dating and saw each other on weekends. Chris proposed before their senior year of college, and they were married two weeks after graduation. Both Chris and Erica have returned to their WCA roots and are now coaching basketball. They are expecting a baby girl and couldn't be more excited. "Wake Christian holds a special place in our lives. We will always be a WCA family!"
*Chris will be our guest blogger next week, sharing more of their story in his post, "Driving the Lane." Click here to visit the WCA Blog!
