Discipleship With Or Without Your Spouse
A new adult Bible study class has begun Sunday evenings at 6:00 p.m. Bible Expositors, our existing adult classes, will continue to offer separate men's and women's classes focusing on digging into the text. Our new Bible Explorers class, mixed with men and women, will focus on practical Bible application. See all our classes online.
Wednesday Bible Studies Are Underway!
You have several options for Wednesday Bible studies. Adults will be learning to live in the life lessons of Proverbs in the sanctuary. Women have an optional video series by Beth Moore meeting in the young adult classroom. Registration is required by signing up in the foyer or calling the church office. Children age 4 through 6th grade will be meeting with Nathan Duke, our children's director, to engage in TeamKID, a children's discipleship class. Youth will continue to meet in the fellowship hall for a Bible study and activity.
Every Member Matters Sunday - September 25
Vacations, illness, homework, car repair ... there are times when you just have to miss church. But your church misses you when you are gone!! With the frolic of summer behind us, let's get together for a special every-member-Sunday to remember how great it is to be together again! We will enjoy a Sunday of great worship during our 10:30 a.m. service and a meal together afterwards. Call those who have been missing and bring enough food for your family and a few more and stay to remember that every member matters!
Pulpit Series Examines Worship for Evangelism
We are wrapping up the book of 1 Corinthians over the next couple of weeks. Get plugged in now before it's gone for good. Remember you can always listen online to catch up.
Sharing the Gospel - Telling the Church
We have shared the gospel with 60 people during our evangelism campaign for the year! Don't forget to pray toward and seize those opportunities this week to tell others about Jesus. Then call the evangelism hotline at 281-968-4769 so our staff can pray and we can celebrate with the whole church on Sunday.
Whoever said, "routine is the rut of lethargy" was right. There's nothing worse than doing things simply because they've been done that way before. In our culture of private Christianity, many are abolishing the end-of-sermon invitation for a more private and authentic (their words) experience. Is there any value to extending an invitation in our day? Is there still an urgency to call people to response? Is there any biblical grounds for asking congregants to make known publicly what God is doing privately?
While we will not see a Pauline manual on invitation etiquette in the Bible, we do see a regular appeal in soliciting sinners to respond immediately to the call of the gospel. There are a multitude of examples of a similar request for repentance directed at God's people." READ MORE...

Music Ministry Opening - Bayou Drive has received several applications for our opening for music and worship leadership. Within the next several months our trustees will be reviewing applications and making a recommendation to the church. Please pray that the Lord will lead them to a candidate that desires to help us glorify God in song. If you are interested in applying, please contact one of our staff members.
