Small Groups Teach Devotion Life
On Sunday nights our small group leaders will be teaching our church how to have a daily devotional life. This is an excellent opportunity for new believers to build new habits and for experienced members to share how God uses your daily time in your walk with Him. Join a small group on Sundays at 6:00 p.m. to learn more how we improve our corporate worship with our private worship.

Discipleship 101
What a great testimony we heard last Sunday from the Osmer family about how God has used BDBC Discipleship in their lives. It's wonderful to see believers grow in grace. If Bible study and discipleship overwhelm you, you've come to the right place. Just contact our Pastor for more information how you can begin with the basics to start growing as a Christian.

Sharing the Gospel - Telling the Church
We have shared the gospel with 60 people during our evangelism campaign for the year! Don't forget to pray toward and seize those opportunities this week to tell others about Jesus. Then call the evangelism hotline at 281-968-4769 so our staff can pray and we can celebrate with the whole church on Sunday.

How to Have a Devotional Life

Over the next several weeks you are going to be hearing more about having a devotional life. Attending church is not the only way, or even the primary way, in which you grow. God's Spirit lives in you and guides you into and through His Word every day. But often finding a place to begin feels overwhelming to new Christians or to those who have never spent personal time with God.

Click on the link to read some helpful advice on how to have a personal and intimate devotional life with God. Then be sure to attend a small group at Bayou Drive to learn more and to hear how others are walking with God daily. READ MORE...
The Bucket: Member News & Church Updates
Pastor Out of Town - Pastor will be traveling to Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth October 10-12. If you have any ministerial needs, please contact Wayne or Nathan. Jack Englert will be teaching the adult class in the sanctuary at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 12.

Barnes Family on Vacation - Pray for Michael and his family as they spend some time together over the next several weeks. They will miss worship October 2 and 9. Encourage Alicia Reader and Hannah O'Kelley as they sing in our worship team in Betsy's absence.

$165 Raised for Benevolence - Last Sunday our church contributed $165 toward Baptist benevolent ministries. As you know, we are working the last Sunday of each month to collect funds to support the benevolent needs of our missionaries abroad and our outreach at home. Each month the offering will be broken into thirds, each part gong toward, Larry Jones who advances this need among our Baptist churches, and a local benevolent fund here to assist reaching our community with the gospel. Give as the Lord lays that burden on your heart.

Music Ministry Opening - Bayou Drive has received several applications for our opening for music and worship leadership. Within the next several months our trustees will be reviewing applications and making a recommendation to the church. Please pray that the Lord will lead them to a candidate that desires to help us glorify God in song. If you are interested in applying, please contact one of our staff members.
