Economic Summit
Huge congrats to the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce on holding their full day of their Economic Summit, AGM and Policy Debate. A very successful day that highlighted so much going on provincially and across the country in regards to economic recovery and paving the pathway going forward.

Our Policy Continues To Live
Our policy regarding increasing celluar connectivity in rural MB, which we introduced to the Manitoba Chamber's of Commerce in 2017 was passed by the membership at the policy debate at that AGM. Since then the MB chamber and the network used that document to work with government and various organizations in order to move forward with better mobile connectivity for rural Manitoba. Since it was up for renewal this year, we were able to update it with a better focus on broadband connectivity as well. We're thrilled to see that the membership of the MB Chamber passed our policy once again and look forward to our efforts in getting this policy into action so we can see improvements in connectivity for rural Manitoban businesses and residents.

New Board of Directors
A big congrats to the 2021/22 board of directors and our Executive Director Stephen Chychota on making it on the board for the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce! Stephen will be representing the Chamber Executives of Manitoba but would also bring insight on behalf of the Parkland and rural MB.

On the subject of our policy ( located above) which was passed yesterday at the MB Chamber AGM, we are pleased to see advancements made in our province regarding the dedication to connectivity. So many First Nations, Northern and Rural communities across the province will benefit from this project. Hopefully, our efforts to equip the MB Chamber and the Chamber network with this policy will help further the ability to grant more rural areas in Manitoba with broadband and cellular services.

Business is Unusual: A Coronavirus Survival Guide for Manitoba Business
They have also launched an e-newsletter and a robust companion platform, Manitoba Business Matters, to guide Manitoba organizations through the next phase of pandemic recovery.

You are invited to one of the most highly anticipated virtual events in Canada on Tuesday, May 18 at 12pm CT. The team at Vexxit brings together a panel of experts to answer your questions and shed light on this pressing topic facing leaders across the country. Join Lisa Cefali of Legacy Bowes, Scott Hoeppner of TDS Law and host Lauren McNabb of CJOB 680 for a live discussion on vaccine policies in the workplace.

As a business owner and an employer, there is a responsibility to keep your team safe and healthy in their work environment. An employee's rights as an individual is also of the utmost importance. Is it an organization’s responsibility to develop vaccine policy? Is a workplace policy the best option? Are there exceptions to the rule? They’ll answer these questions along with questions submitted by Canadian business leaders, employees and the public at large.
