Dear <<First Name>>,

I love that "fresh start" feeling that comes with the New Year!

Like a blank Etch a Sketch, it’s an opportune time to turn the dials to create a new drawing…or story, as it were. It’s the time of year when reorgs are commonplace, sales goals are reset to “go,” and there is a general sense of hope for an even better year than the last one.

At the same time, it can be difficult to hit the ground running after the holidays. The downtime is great for reconnecting with family and friends; disconnecting from work can create an opening for reflection and new ideas.

Re-entry, however, can be a dual-edged sword. Our “inner critics” (aka negative self-talk) can persist at picking away at our optimism and confidence. Before we know it, we’ve fallen back into our routines and habits (some of which do not serve us well).  A full month has passed and that fresh start feeling can feel so, well, “last month.”

Enter Positive Intelligence (PQ), an adjunct to Emotional Intelligence, focused on what gets in your way (“Saboteurs”) and then, offers alternative strategies to maximize your confidence, well-being, and contributions as a leader.

Learn more about your “Judge” and accomplice saboteurs and discover how they are likely affecting your ability to play full out in 2023. Better yet, take the (free) assessment. I’d love to hear about what you learn. Shoot me a note to let me know at JFranklin@Coach2Growth.com.

Until then, here’s to a clean slate and a year of amazing personal and professional growth ahead.

Coach2Growth helps executives and senior businesspeople grow by capitalizing on their strengths to lead and partner more effectively. With our guidance, leaders achieve more, gain recognition, and grow and prosper fearlessly.
Mastering any one of the four primary Emotional Intelligence competencies can go a long way toward helping a leader improve her effectiveness. And, understanding the relationships between each and their interdependencies can magnify that leadership value even further.

Once the four competencies are organized accordingly, we can look at the relationships between them (arrows) with self-awareness as the precursor to the other three.
