Mercyhurst will move forward with plans to construct the Ridge Reading Room and Gallery in the university's Hammermill Library, thanks to a $250,000 grant from the Henry L. Hillman Foundation of Pittsburgh. The Thomas J. & Michele Ridge Collection was gifted to the University in October 2013; the renovations to the library will make the archive accessible to students, faculty, and the public.
