Today we are launching a brand new giving platform called Seize to house some of our newest and most innovative fundraising initiatives. This crowdfunding project was designed to help Mercyhurst faculty, coaches, administrators and students to vocalize funding needs to the University. Our goal is to find projects on campus that take our educational experiences to the next level, and offer unique giving opportunities for donors.
Learn more about the projects at seize.mercyhurst.edu!
Our freshmen parents may not know, but there is no way that our upper classmen parents have not heard....HURST DAY is coming!
Hurst Day is a tradition for the Mercyhurst University campus community featuring food, games, and lots of fun.  All classes are cancelled and there is a Mercyhurst themed scavenger hunt for students. The first place team will win GoPro cameras while the second place team receives Fitbits.
Check out the video from last year's Hurst Day at mercyhurst.edu/campus-life/hurst-day.
Student Activities Council and Multicultural Activities Council held a program titled Hurst is Home on Saturday, Aug. 27 in the Grotto from 5-7pm
Over 80 students came out to decorate birdhouses and make a human bird feed combination to enjoy after the program.

This and many more programs happen every weekend on campus!
The Senior Class Gift Committee is back and accepting members to the committee at the first meeting of the year being held Thursday Sept. 8 from 7-8 p.m. in Zurn 214. All seniors are invited to participate as a committee member and help to leave a legacy at Mercyhurst by continuing the nearly 30-year tradition of the Senior Class Gift.
Students may contact the Senior Class Gift Leadership Team if they have any questions or suggestions: Alyssa Archer (chairperson), Cailey Dewaine, Jimmy Duncan, and Taylor Rider.
Did you know that MU Campus Ministry has a very active outreach to children and youth called MYRACLE (Mercyhurst Youth Retreats and Catholic Leadership Education)? This passionate group of student leaders plans and offers a variety of retreats for children and youth at Catholic parishes and schools in Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio, and beyond. They also connect with local religious education and youth programs and offer living stations of the cross during Lent. Feel free to talk to your pastor or faith formation leader about the possibility of inviting this ministry to your home parish. The student leaders can be reached at myracle@mercyhurst.edu.

This Oct. 21-23, students will take a next-step after their powerful experience at Campus Ministry’s popular Carpe Diem retreats. Our newest next-step retreat, 4th vow, focuses on how to live a life of service to others, modeled after the unique 4th vow taken by the Sisters of Mercy (poverty, chastity, obedience, and service). Planned collaboratively between our Campus Ministry and Community Engagement offices, this retreat will challenge students to confront some of the barriers we create to using our gifts to meet the needs of the world and offer hope to make a difference and lead a more joy-filled life!
