As many of you know, we have been building a brand-new Dinosaur & Fossil Museum. Hundreds & hundreds of people are waiting with excitement for its completion. I believe it will be a life-changer. It has already begun producing eternal fruits.
Last week a group of boys were walking down the alley behind the Center. Curiosity drew them to poke their heads in the back-office door where I was working. I told them that we were building a Dinosaur & Fossil Museum, and asked if they wanted a sneak-peek. They answered, “Dinosaurs! Oh boy, would we!”
You should have seen the excitement in their eyes as we showed off the new room, the contractors told them about the “rock structures” they were building, we showed them some of the fossils that we are putting inside. Then we got to share the Gospel with them. They listened and asked many questions. We explained clearly that they deserved to die for their sins, but that Jesus lived a perfect life, and died in their place – that His righteousness would be credited to them if they acknowledged Christ as Savior.
After about 90 minutes the boys left, and as they did, our volunteer docent, Craig, suggested that they bring back some friends. And 20 minutes later, they brought 4 more with them to also hear the Gospel! Last Saturday they stopped by again to do experiments and hear about Jesus again from some of our junior docents. This is why we’re building the Dinosaur & Fossil Museum.
You know how a project goes, you estimate the costs… and then add a huge buffer to account for unexpected surprises. We did that, but unfortunately in our final few weeks, we have had some very LARGE unexpected costs, and at this time we don’t have what it takes to cross the finish line. All of us working on the project have faith that the Lord will provide.
If you feel led, and would like to get behind this project, please help us with one final push to raise the money. To be a part of this exciting outreach, please visit our GoFundMe campaign.
