COVID19 Update - April 28th 2020

South SideA lot has happened in the two weeks since our last newsletter. There are a few changes to what we can do as a Creation Center - a couple of these are disappointing, but others are actually encouraging.

Let's start with the disappointment. Due to the continuing restrictions on meetings in Washington state, our 40th Anniversary Conference on Saturday May 16th 2020 is now canceled. We hope that we will be able to make an alternative event later in the year, but there is nothing we can do about the actual date. Also, the Creation Center itself remains closed for business, and I am working from home, in accordance with Governor Inslee's guidelines.

Now for the Good News! On Monday April 27th, Governor Inslee announced an easing of restrictions on the use of outdoors, including state parks. This new regulation comes into effect on May 5th. However, the regulation does not apply to federal land, and the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, which includes all the trails in the Mount St Helens National Volcanic Monument, is not opening its trails yet. We are hopeful that they will open soon. Therefore, I am NOT canceling the anniversary excursion for Monday May 18th 2020 yet. Please keep an eye on our website or Facebook page, because I might have to cancel the excursion on the last minute. If we are able to do the excursion, then I will assign a meeting point, where we can exercise social distancing. If this, and other excursions go ahead, you are advised to have hand sanitizer with you. I suspect that it is unlikely that the Johnston Ridge Observatory will open, even if the trails are opened.

So - to repeat the above; - the 40th Anniversary Excursion, and subsequent excursions are NOT yet canceled - but please keep looking at our website, as they may need to be canceled with just 24 hours notice.

Remember that our webstore is still open! I am continuing to honor orders on books and DVDs with free shipping for the moment.

Please remember our ministry in your prayers and in your financial giving.

Let's pray God's blessings on each of us. Please stay safe during this pandemic. I remain:

Yours Sincerely in Christ
