Supporting Bible translation in Papua New Guinea through
computer support and health care
May 2020

As is true for most of you, COVID-19 has shaped the way daily life, work, and school looks here in Ukarumpa, PNG. For the past many weeks, we have been trying to stay at home, guide the kids though schooling at home, and perform necessary work and life while socially distancing and maintaining strict guidelines to prevent contributing to the spread of COVID-19. There are eight confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus spread out over the country of PNG.

Andrew has stayed busy with work, upgrading many of the servers that house translation data and help run our missionary center, as well as answering questions and helping people stay connected virtually so that individuals and departments can continue vital work during this time of altered working conditions.

Melody's schedule has shifted greatly, working just one day a week, as she has needed to be at home to facilitate the kids' schooling. She is very grateful to work in our clinic with a great team of medical professionals, so that she can focus on being mom and teacher right now.

Thank You!

We wanted to give you a brief snapshot into life here at the moment, but mostly we want to say THANK YOU to each and every one of you for the ways that you show your support and partnership in our ministry. The generosity, sacrifice, and commitment communicated through your financial partnership through these hard times is a beautiful expression of your love as our partnership team and as part of the body of Christ. We feel your prayers for us and we cannot express our gratitude enough. Thank you. Those typed words feel so inadequate in expressing the thankfulness that is in our hearts.
We are also praying for each of you on are partnership team! You have been on our hearts and minds during this time, knowing that the pandemic has changed life for everybody. The kids enjoy being part of that every morning by picking a name from the prayer jar and praying for the person, family, or church they picked.
