Supporting Bible translation in Papua New Guinea through
computer support and health care

December 2016

Every Tongue Every Tribe

In Revelation 7:9-10 we read of "a great multitude....from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb....[crying] out in a loud voice, 'Salvation to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!'"

On November 13, we had a service, an "Every Tongue Every Tribe Celebration", glorifying God for every language and tribe in Papua New Guinea (PNG) that has received portions of His Word in the past year. Between November 2015 and November 2016, 32 people groups received some of His Word in their heart language. Some received the complete New Testament in their language, others received Audibibles with portions of recorded scripture, some Mini Bibles, and others were able to watch the Jesus Film in their language for the first time!

We look forward to the day when we will be in that great multitude beside our PNG brothers and sisters in Christ and we give all praise to God for the work that is being done in many of the "tribe[s], people[s] and language[s]" in Papua New Guinea. We thank God for each of you who are part of our team through prayer and/or financial partnership. We can only be here supporting Bible Translation through computer support and health care because we have an amazing team of people supporting us in so many ways. Thank you!!!

We pray for His JOY to fill your hearts this season as we celebrate the birth of our Savior.
I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.
For there is born to you this day in the city of David
a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

Luke 2:10-11
Praise Reports:
  • For the 32 people groups in PNG who received parts of God's Word in their heart language this past year!
  • For the complete healing of Melody's eye and for God's provision to travel to Australia and back to get the care she needed.
  • For the return of the permanent CTS department manager! Andrew is now working full time as a network administrator.
  • We are looking forward to time with Andrew's parents at Christmastime, as we will meet up with them in Australia for some much-needed time of rest.
Prayer Requests:
  • For the many translation projects in progress, not only in Papua New Guinea, but around the world. There are so many still waiting for God’s Word in their heart language.
  • For God's Word to penetrate the hearts and change the lives of those who have received it in their own language.
  • For Melody as she balances work in the clinic, being on-call, co-leading 7th grade community group, and the work required here to keep a home running.
  • For the new, faster internet connection to be completed, providing improved communication and connectivity. Progress is halted at this time.
