Welcome to the new Miyagi Kan e_Newsletter.  Keeping our students and friends up to date on the latest happenings with the club.
JUNE, 2013

It's been a while since the last eNewsletter and there have been a number of things happening around the place.  First and foremost is the unfortunate news that Karate did not make it into the Olympics for 2020 despite the best efforts of all involved.  Baseball/Softball beat Karate 9-5 in a head to head vote to win its spot on the list.  For those who didn't see the video clip that was shown to the IOC members it can be viewed here.

Tournament of Champions - Sunday 7th July

The Tournament of Champions will be held at the Whitlam Leisure Centre on Sunday 7th July starting at 9:00am.  For those wishing to participate, please download the entry form and ensure that it is submitted by Friday 21st June 2013 at the latest.  Note that all competitors MUST have current insurance.
For all those families and students not competing, please come along and support not only Miyagi Kan but karate as a whole.
