FOLD of the WEEK #275:
Bidirectional Cascading Accordion
This week's featured format is a creative spin on a cascading (or angled) accordion. A classic cascading accordion has an angled trim on the top for a waterfall effect. However this piece, designed by Funnel Design Group of Oklahoma City for EnviroEdge, actually cascades on both the front and the back. When unfolded, the brochure takes a long, lean, slightly diagonal format, and tells a story through colorful illustrations. Produced by Sun Graphics of Parsons, Kansas, the piece was die-cut, scored and folded by hand due to the small quantity. It's important to note that the format could have been folded by machine if the quantity had been higher. A very cool marketing piece, indeed.
