FOLD of the WEEK #286:

Ingenious Rolling Iron Cross with Zip Strip

This week's folding treat is a fabulous idea from down under. Designed by Welcome to the Fold and produced by Platypus Graphics, both of Brisbane, Australia, this compact folded business card makes a great first impression. On the front of the card—in addition to the expected name, title and contact information—is a zip strip that instructs the recipient to "Rip it!." This irresistible engagement strategy leads to a message underneath and a rolling surprise inside. This small-scale composite format is made of two printed pieces produced on two different kinds of paper and glued together. The contrast of the papers and the unexpected reveal is fun and inspiring, and expresses the personality of the creative firm that it represents. Great folds come in small packages!
