If you’re like many marketers (and their printers!) who are dealing with envelope production delays and shortages, I have an idea for you:

What if your mailer simply “looked” like an envelope, but actually was not an envelope at all? In fact, I’ll take it a step further and ask if a self-mailer that looks like an envelope could be just as engaging as envelope mail, and possibly even more so?

Agree? Disagree? Watch this week’s episode to see where you fall in the debate—but here’s what I think is great about this week’s fold:

  • The one-piece construction makes it easy to cover both sides with full-color variable printing and imagery.

  • The format design looks just like an envelope, down to the flap and the “seam” placement, but it breaks down into an exciting and visual layout with a tear-off promotion.

NOTE: This particular design is not configured as a carrier, but if you need a mock-envelope mail format that has a built-in pocket for inserts, check out the 4 Pocket Mailer ideas in Episode 579.

I hope this week's selection is a timely and relevant solution for you! Thanks for watching, and have a great week.

– Trish
