I’ve been really focused on practical ideas lately, which are entirely necessary to have in your back pocket, especially during challenging times, but let’s break out this week with something a bit more daring from a design perspective.

I have two examples to share this week, and here’s what I love about them:

  • Angled folds are so dynamic—nothing will break you out of a design rut faster than working on a layout that involves angled panels.

  • In the "Who knew?" category, some printers can machine fold this format on folder/gluer machines, which can make it really efficient to produce. Also worth noting, you get a great shape and a cool opening experience without a fancy die cut. This is a rectangle with angled scores.

Can't get enough? Check out two more cool designs in episodes 113 and episode 293. If you want to start somewhere with angled gate panels, check out this Foldfactory Designer Fold and download a free template here.

I'll see you next week!
