Peter's Message

Dear sisters and brothers,

I hope that this message finds you all well and having had a good week.

Tomorrow is a special day in the life of the Church, as we mark Mothering Sunday. This is an occasion to give thanks for all those who have mothered us in all sorts of ways: not only individuals, but also our mother churches - those places where we have been nurtured in our faith. As we do so, may we think afresh on how we can build one another up so that we can become more who God calls us to be.

With my prayers and best wishes,
Peter

Plants needed for Easter Garden

We'd love some small plants to help our young people create the Easter Garden on Palm Sunday (2 April)! If you're able to donate some spring flowers, please get in touch with Debbie Norrie

Easter Day Sunrise Service - help needed

Churches Together Risborough hold a Sunrise Service on Easter Day at 6am on the top of Whiteleaf Cross.  We meet in the car park and walk to the cross as the sun is coming up.

In recent years St Dunstan’s has provided refreshments after the service - usually much needed! We provide hot drinks and bacon rolls (or the like) for about 40-45 people. Margaret Pitman is providing hot drinks, but we need someone to take charge of the bacon rolls. Advice is available from those who have done this in the past.

If anyone is willing/able to do this please contact Margaret or Peter. Thank you!

Princes Risborough Town Council in partnership with the North West Chilterns Community Board and Risborough Environmental Group is giving away seeds this spring so that you can plant your own 1-metre square of native wildflowers in your garden or in pots.

You can find a box of free seeds in the Church Porch - please join in and help to make a difference!

  • All the people who care for us, encourage us, nurture us and love us on this Mothering Sunday, and all those for whom this day might be difficult or sad.
  • The people of Ukraine - we pray for peace, for an end to the conflict, and for safety for the Ukrainian people.
  • Those who have to flee their counties because of persecution, suffering, or hardship.
  • Those struggling with the cost of living crisis and facing a winter of spiralling energy bills and food costs.
  • Those whose anniversary of death falls at this time, and those who grieve them.
