Peter's Message

Dear brothers and sister in Christ,

It has been a huge joy to see the wonderful creativity of local artists on show in the church this week during Bucks Art Week.  If you haven't been able to visit yet, do take the chance before the exhibition comes to an end on Sunday.

This Sunday we begin our long journey through Trinity season. Whilst there are fewer major festivals in the coming months than we have celebrated recently, the liturgical colour of green reminds us that this is a time to continue flourishing and growing together as God's people.  I look forward to seeing many of you this weekend as we gather to be nourished in word and sacrament.

Every blessing,

Peter

Vision and Praise for WYFC
Wycombe Youth For Christ have been doing wonderful work in recent months to reach out to young people in Risborough who can benefit from encouragement, care, and guidance.  There is a Vision & Praise Evening on Thursday 7 July at 7.30pm, which is a chance for us to learn about their work and to find out how we can support them.  Please do come along - click on the button below for more details.

Prayers and reflections
Please pray for...
  • The situation in Ukraine: for peace, for renewal, for the reuniting of families, for freedom, for help and support for those suffering trauma and devastation.
  • For justice for those seeking asylum, and support for those who have nowhere else to go.
  • Those struggling to make ends meet as costs of living rise, and for the work of charities, food banks and other organisations which seek to offer support. .
  • Those trying affected by upcoming rail strikes and airline chaos, and for those working to bring a resolution.
  • Those whose anniversary of death falls at this time, and those who grieve them.
Don't forget that Canon Rob's reflections can be found on the church website by clicking the button below.
