HALO programs 

Welcome to our April newsletter. Our HALO program is designed to help our community to 'Find Your 30'. Thirty minutes per day of moderate to intense physical activity is what's recommended under Australia's Physical Activity and Sedentary Behaviour Guidelines.

We hope our newsletter will assist you in finding ways to increase your physical activity.

Improve your wellbeing by staying healthy,

OUTFIT Onkaparinga

Term 2 starting on 27 April
If you want to use outdoor fitness equipment, participate in a fitness class, or just want to get active, then OUTFIT Onkaparinga is designed for you!

Join our FREE outdoor group exercise sessions with a personal trainer, at various locations. Learn how to use outdoor fitness equipment safely and effectively, join in a group fitness class and develop a workout routine you can use more regularly.

All sessions provide alternative exercises making them accessible to all fitness levels and suitable for adults of all ages. To book & find out more...

Flatwater Kayaking

Saturday 17 April at Port Noarlunga

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to paddle a sleek racing kayak like those used in the Olympics? Well now you can find out!

The Onkaparinga Canoe Club club will have specialised junior boats and coaches available on the day. Beginners are welcome, but please note these boats can be more challenging than other kayaks and there is a chance you may get wet. 

Suitable for participants aged 8 years plus but children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the activity. To book & find out more... 
 

Noarlunga Aquatic Centre

Did you know that the that the Noarlunga Aquatic Centre is under the new management of the City of Onkaparinga? 

The pool provides casual swimming, learn to swim school and aqua classes, and there's also fitness classes and a gym.  Find out more...

Walking has many benefits to both our physical and mental health.

parkrun 

Did you know that there are five parkrun locations within the City of Onkaparinga and over 400 people participate each week? 

parkrun is a FREE weekly 5km timed walk, jog or run held every Saturday at 8am. It is run by volunteers and is open to everyone of all abilities. Join in the fun!. Find out more...
