Powering Communities Program

This grant can be used to fund activities such as:
  • Installing a rooftop solar PV system
  • Installing batteries to connect to a new or existing solar PV system
  • Replace split-system air conditioners or window air conditioners with new more efficient split-system units 
  • Replace non-LED lighting in a community building with LED lighting.  
  • Replace a gas or electric hot water heating for change room showers with a heat pump unit, gas boosted solar heater or electric-boosted solar heater 
  • Replace a non-induction cook top with an induction cook top

Infrastructure Projects Grant Program 2021-22



Eligible sport and recreation groups and local councils can now apply for funding through the 2021-2022 suite of infrastructure projects grant programs consisting of:
  • Community Recreation and Sport Facilities Program 2021-22 (CRSFP)
  • Grassroots Facilities Program Round 2 (GFP)
  • Regional and Districts Facilities Program Round 2 (RDFP)
In 2021-2022, $20,670,000 is available across the infrastructure projects suite of grant programs, which have been streamlined to create a single entry point for all applications. These programs will assist organisations to develop infrastructure that will enable greater opportunity for participation in active recreation and sport for all South Australians through the rational development of well-designed and utilised facilities.

Please read the Program Guidelines for information about eligibility (page 8) and assessment criteria (page 18).

The Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing (ORSR) is available to assist with any queries you may have when completing your submission. Please call 1300 714 990 if you have any questions.

The three programs align with the objectives of the Game On: Getting South Australia moving initiative which aims to get South Australians moving and enjoying the many social, health and lifestyle benefits sport and recreation provide.

Community Training and Development Fund


Are you looking for funding to help your committee, coaches or leaders improve? The Community Training and Development Fund provides grants of up to $1500 for volunteer members of community groups to build community capacity Read more or apply now!

 

The 2021 Commonwealth Bank Not-for-Profit Treasurers' Awards

 

Nominate and enter for your chance to win $5,000:

How to enter: This year, you can take part in the 2021 Not-for-Profit Treasurers' Awards in one of two ways:

a. Nominate your treasurer: A great way to show your appreciation, with all nominated treasurers receiving an official digital Certificate of Appreciation.

b. Enter as a not-for-profit treasurer: If you're a not-for-profit treasurer, share your insights for your chance to win one of four $5,000 cash donations for your not-for-profit. Simply tell us how you have creatively innovated or transformed your not-for-profit to deal with the challenging environments.

Note: This year, judges will be looking for the most original and creative ideas that will help community treasurers have an even greater impact. Treasurers must self-nominate above (Section B) to be eligible for the $5,000 donation.

COVID Check-in process


A reminder to all clubs about the need to comply with COVID Safe check-in. SAPOL are undertaking compliance checks and a number of clubs have been fined for non-compliabce

SA Water update for Clubs with Grease Arrestor -  Maintenance Requirement


SA Water have recently advised that those clubs who have a grease arrestor and do not service them on time will face new fines

SA Water advice was: "As you are already aware, a fee for not servicing a grease arrestor or settling pit will apply to all our trade waste customers with grease arrestors / settling pits.
This new fee encourages compliance for arrestor operation and covers costs for managing and treating waste released into our sewerage system.
 
Therefore a customer listed in our system with an overdue service will receive an invoice 4 weeks after the grease arrestor / settling pit was due for servicing (following multiple notifications during this time). This invoice will be sent continuously, every 4 weeks , until the service is done and visible in our system"

NAIDOC Week 2021


As part of NAIDOC week, the Noarlunga Recreation Centre are hosting an event  on Wednesday 7 July 1:30-4pm.

Who? 0 – 25 Years, young people with a care experience (and those in their home, carers, siblings etc)

Please join us at Noarlunga Recreation Centre for some indoor fun! There will be face painting, music, balloon twisting, henna art, NAIDOC badge making, arcade games and jumping castles for the little ones and big ones AND afternoon snacks.
