Dear Friends,
Just 61-days remain in the 90-day statutory deadline before EPA needs to issue a critical threshold determination: Does GHG pollution “present an unreasonable risk of injury to health or the environment”? See our Petition here.
That determination should be based on the relevant facts. Still, decision-makers – at EPA or elsewhere – sometimes need a push from an informed and engaged public.
And so, to encourage more such public engagement, I now commit to ride my recumbent trike (with an electric assist) one mile for each endorsement received, another mile for each campaign sponsorship, and yet another for each public comment submitted through our portal, in support of our Petition. One mile for each, totaling at least 2,857 miles by the September 14 deadline.
