Welcome to Day 4 of the Sleekgeek 14-Day New Year Kickstart Challenge!

A quick recap from yesterday:
  • Eric explained the Sleekgeek Healthy Meal Template and how it will completely transform how you think about and put together healthy meals.

  • Elan talked about why you need to find a very strong reason for change in order to make it do-able and sustainable, and he then walked you through how to do exactly that.
Now, let's dive into Day 4!
NUTRITION Lesson + Task:

In the video below, Eric introduces you to the Sleekgeek Portion Control Guide as a hassle-free way to customise your portion sizes to fit your individual needs.

TASK:

Put together a meal using the Sleekgeek Healthy Meal Template and then apply these Portion Control Guidelines to your meal.

Start with the basic guidelines of 1 serving of each for women and 2 servings of each for men.

Don’t worry about accidentally eating a little bit too little or a little bit too much on your first try. Slightly more or slightly less food in one meal won’t have a major impact on things in the long run. In fact, if you do it mindfully, it can actually be an excellent lesson in appetite and hunger awareness.

Pay attention to how your experiment goes. You can then take that experience and decide whether or not you want to increase or decrease the number of servings you give yourself in your next meal.

I know this can feel overwhelming, but it’s actually really easy and with a bit of practice you will quickly become a pro at it.

MINDSET Lesson + Task

In the video below, Elan talks about designing your fantastic new future and what kind of vision you have for your life over the next year.

TASK:

Forget all of your fears and doubts for a moment, then, close your eyes and imagine yourself in 12 months time...

What might that future look like? Where do you want to be? What do you want to be doing? How do you want to feel?

Visualise yourself returning from the future with your message. What would that message look like IN DETAIL?

Capture that in a way that inspires you and that you can easily refer back to. Then, find some way make that future just a little bit more real today and every day onwards.

Let us know in the Sleekgeek Facebook Group what your amazing future looks like and what action you are taking today to make it a little bit more real (use the hashtag #SGNY so that your posts are easily searchable by us and your fellow challengers).

That's all for now, see you tomorrow!
