Welcome to Day 2 of the Sleekgeek 14-Day New Year Kickstart Challenge!

A quick recap from yesterday:
  • Eric walked you through the Sleekgeek Food List, showing you how it can be used as a quick snapshot or frame of reference for what a healthy diet might look like.

  • Elan introduced you to the concept that change is a skill, helping you shift all of your perceptions about getting healthy and showed you that, no matter who you are, change is absolutely possible in your life.
Now, let's dive into Day 2!
Day 2 NUTRITION Lesson + Task:

In the video below, Eric talks about designing your environment for the better to set yourself up for success so that healthy habits come more easily and less willpower is required to stay on track.

TASK:

Think about how you can play with how noticeable, visible, and accessible foods are in your home.

Look to see how you can make healthier foods easier and more convenient to eat while making less healthy foods harder and less convenient to eat.

Take a look at the Sleekgeek Kitchen Makeover Guide if you need some additional help with this.

Let us know in the Sleekgeek Facebook Group what changes you plan to make to design your environment for the better (use the hashtag #SGNY so that your posts are easily searchable by us and your fellow challengers).

We will be giving away several entries into the upcoming Sleekgeek 8-Week Challenge to the most active and enthusiastic Kickstart Challengers as the challenge goes along.
Day 2 MINDSET Lesson + Task

In the video below, Elan busts the motivation myth, showing you how sitting around waiting for motivation will never bring you consistent or long-lasting results and why making a commitment to yourself will.

TASK:

Decide on some health actions right now that you want to take in the next 7 days.

These could be going to the gym, shopping for healthy groceries, prepping your meals ahead of time, and so on.

Decide on a time you want to allocate to those and put them in your diary. Make that appointment with yourself and stick to it. Remember, your schedule does not lie, it shows you your priorities.

Let us know in the Sleekgeek Facebook Group what commitments you made for yourself (use the hashtag #SGNY so that your posts are easily searchable by us and your fellow challengers).

We will be giving away several entries into the upcoming Sleekgeek 8-Week Challenge to the most active and enthusiastic Kickstart Challengers as the challenge goes along.
That's all for now, see you tomorrow!
