Welcome to Day 3 of the Sleekgeek 14-Day New Year Kickstart Challenge!

A quick recap from yesterday:

  • Elan busted the motivation myth, showing you how sitting around waiting for motivation will never bring you consistent or long-lasting results and why making a commitment to yourself will.
Now, let's dive into Day 3!
NUTRITION Lesson + Task:

In the video below, Eric explains the Sleekgeek Healthy Meal Template and how it will completely transform how you think about and put together healthy meals.

TASK:

See if you can group some of your favourite foods together from the Sleekgeek Food List to create a healthy meal.

Remember, the Sleekgeek Healthy Meal Template formula goes: 1 quality protein + 1 colourful veg + 1 smart carb + 1 healthy fat = meal.



Try to choose foods that you think will go well together, but it definitely does not need to be perfect! This is just practice. You will learn over time which food combinations you like and go well together. You may also discover some pretty unlikely combinations by accident!

MINDSET Lesson + Task

In the video below, Elan explains why you need to find a very strong reason for change in order to make it do-able and sustainable, and he then walks you through how to do exactly that.

TASK:

Go through The 5 Whys exercise with yourself, asking yourself why you want to achieve your goal (of weight loss, better health, being stronger in the gym, etc - whatever it may be).

Ask yourself "Why?" 5 times until you come to your 5th and most compelling why for achieving the goals that you want.
