Welcome to Day 9 of the Sleekgeek 14-Day New Year Kickstart Challenge!

A quick recap from yesterday:
  • Eric explained how some foods are more satiating than others and that by strategically eating the right kinds of foods you can feel more satisfied while eating and also feel fuller for longer once you have finished eating.

  • Elan talked about why one of the key determinants of success is your ability to take consistent action and gives you some tips on how to be more consistent.
Now, let's dive into today's lessons and tasks!

TASK:

You have 3 tasks to do today:

First, see if you can come up with 1 more emotional management strategy that you can add to your toolbox. Something that you can commit to doing whenever you are feeling stressed or overwhelmed or emotional. Check out the full article on our website for a list of ideas if you need some help.

Second, keep a very simple food journal for the rest of the 14-day challenge. Simply write down what you eat, when you eat, and what you are feeling when you eat.

Third, play around with the discomfort deal. See if you can delay that gratification for a short time, even if it’s just for 5 minutes. You will quickly see just how empowering it is. It’s a great way to flex that willpower muscle which will help you hugely in the long run.

Be sure to read the full article on Emotional Eating for more in-depth information.
