Fall is in full force here at the Association as we prepare for shows, Longhorn Weekend, early spring sales and the holidays.
TLBAA OCTOBER BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING
The TLBAA Board of Directors met Tuesday, October 27. The Board approved proposed changes to the TLBAA Affiliate Handbook, matching premium money for the Open Haltered and TLBT Haltered shows held in conjunction with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and a revision of the wording and required signature on the TLBAA membership application and renewals. The Board also voted to approve a proposal calling for voluntary parentage verification DNA testing on bulls registered after January 1, 2016. More information on this will be forthcoming!

DIVISION A ELECTIONS
Beginning the week of November 16, those of you residing in TLBAA Division A, Regions 1-6 should be watching your mailbox for ballots to vote for directors from your Division for 2016. Deadline to return those ballots is December 26, 2015. Should you not receive a ballot by November 30, please contact Dana Coomer at 817-625-6241.
FALL REGISTRATION SPECIAL

HORN SHOWCASE WRAP-UP Complete results from the measuring and futurity for the 2015 Horn Showcase can be found in the December issue of Trails magazine. Look for this issue to arrive in your mailbox around November 22nd!
2016 LONGHORN WEEKEND
The TLBAA Longhorn Weekend is slated for January 15-19, 2016. The weekend kicks off with the TLBAA Board Meeting, General Membership Meeting, and, Awards and Hall of Fame Induction ceremonies on Friday, January 15. The annual Eddie Wood Cowtown Classic sale starts at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 16 and feature 59 outstanding consignments. The sale catalog will be mailed with the December issue of Trails magazine. The TLBT General Membership Meeting and a World Show Steering Committee meeting will be held on Sunday, January 17, followed by the Open and Youth Texas Longhorn shows in conjunction with the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo on January 18-19.

2016 TEXAS LONGHORN BREEDERS HALL OF FAME INDUCTEES
The TLBAF Hall of Fame Committee chose inductees for the 2016 Hall of Fame, and were subsequently approved by the TLBA Foundation Board. The Hall of Fame Committee is proud to announce the following inductees into the 2016 Texas Longhorn Breeders Hall of Fame:

These entities will be honored on Friday evening, January 15, 2016 during the induction ceremony held at Billy Bob's 81 Club, located in the Fort Worth Stockyards, beginning at 6 p.m. Tickets to the event will go on sale next Wednesday, November 18 and may be purchased in advance for $35.
TLBF BUILDING & MUSEUM FUND
The TLBAF would like to express sincere gratitude to Chris Herron, Crescent Falls Ranch, Geoff & Belinda Dawson, Jamie & June Mertz, Kurt & Glenda Twining, and the Oklahoma Texas Longhorn Association for their recent generous contributions to the TLBF Building Fund! Because of these generous donations, we are that much closer to starting construction on the TLBAA's Future Headquarters and Museum.
