Ideas for Encouragement

Church family,

As we walk through this extraordinary time together (and also not together), I'm hoping we can find new ways to encourage ourselves and each other. My hope is to send out an email like this each week compiling our ideas. Please pass along any ideas you might have!

Before I start the list, another request: as we move a lot of ministry online, I would love any feedback you have. Are there ways to make our worship service or Sunday school more helpful? Do you have any input for the elders' and deacons' ministry? Please let me know.
  • I'm going to put some devotional thoughts on IRPC's facebook page in the form of short videos. I'd love for you to join me by writing in (or posting a similar video) of what God is showing you in His Word.
  • Here is a link to a video of our Sunday school class last night. (I was able to edit it down to just the class time.)
  • From the Gardners: Paul Miller is hosting a webinar today at 1pm on "Dying and Rising with Jesus in Everyday Life." Register here. Here's a short video about Paul's ministry (some of you will know him as the author of A Praying Life, one of my favorite books about prayer).
  • From the Spirydovichs: Meg Morton, a friend to many of us, began a great idea in Beaver Falls: a community zoo of sorts. Check it out!
  • Candace Bright is organizing a prayer chain for anyone willing to spend a few extra minutes praying with someone else in the church. You can email her here.
  • Dr. David Murray has recently started a brief, daily podcast with meditations from God's Word. He has a great way of unfolding the Bible and being deeply encouraging.
Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.
1 Thessalonians 5:11
