Since Active Hope was first published a decade ago, the Great Unraveling has progressed at an alarming rate. To better address this disturbing new context, Joanna Macy and Chris Johnstone have taken a fresh new view of Active Hope, with the tenth anniversary edition published in June (US) and July (much of the rest of the world) this year.

On Saturday, July 23, Joanna and Chris will share why they’re excited by this new edition, describing some of the key shifts in thinking and practice it brings.

These include:

  • The new subtitle: ‘how to face the mess we’re in with unexpected resilience and creative power’
  • A shift in emphasis in the way we view the Great Turning, focussing more the process of how it can happen through us, rather than the outcome of whether or when it might turn out a particular way.
  • Looking at how we can experience the spiral of the Work That Reconnects not just in groups or as a personal practice, but also in conversations
  • An invitation to step more deeply into the Shambhala Warrior Prophecy as a guiding story that can happen through us, as we recognise ourselves as a planet people called to dismantle harmful patterns of activity, thinking, relationships and organization.

This webinar will be recorded. A link to the recording will be available about 48 hours after the live webinar and will be sent by email to all those who are registered.
