co-creating a safe and dignified world for women and girls

Parity Lab is an innovative accelerator for women-led organizations that foster community-driven solutions to end violence against women and girls. We identify women-leaders from marginalized communities and offer an embedded support system that provides capacity building, coaching, and thought partnership.

In The Spotlight
We are excited to launch our partner organisations’ FIRST-EVER CROWDFUNDING CAMPAIGNS on Give India’s platform! 🙌🏾 Our women leaders have worked with us over the last 2 months to understand and create these campaigns to help support their work that benefits the most vulnerable. A lack of access to education 📚 is one of the root causes of violence faced by women and girls, particularly Dalit and Adivasi women, in their communities. Support the tireless work done by countless women in the three organisations to help address this root cause and create a world without gender-based violence from the ground up! ✊🏽 Every bit counts to directly uplift marginalised women and change their lives. 💫 Check out their campaigns by clicking on the images below!✨
We have also been awarded generous funding by the Sonya K Jain Foundation! With their support, we hope to continue with our programming for the year-one cohort and develop our impact assessment model, readying Parity Lab to support more amazing women leaders in the future ✊🏽
We are part of Harvard's LLX GEO Stealth program! It is a version of Harvard's current LLX GEO program, designed for entrepreneurs amongst Harvard alumni and provides access to excellent resources for us to strengthen our work and continue support our women-leaders in their own grassroots ventures!
Community Centered
Towards the end of 2022, some members of Parity Lab were able to visit our women-leaders and their communities! It was incredible to see their work in action, with all three of the grassroots organizations in our cohort addressing various root causes and consequences of gender-based violence, from providing women safe community spaces to share their experiences to empowering them through the mastery of digital tools.
Deep Dive
The Good Girls: An Ordinary Killing by Sonia Faleiro, provides a chilling yet insightful account of gender-based violence in rural India, and masterfully shows the intersections of gender, class, and caste that both cause and exacerbate the issue.
