Spread the word about Tribune 101
Help us reach community members who would benefit from learning about the Tribune through our Tribune 101 presentations. At Tribune 101, attendees learn about the origins of the Tribune Building Project, progress to date, and what this “community accelerator“ means for our shared future. Incourage will present a public Tribune 101 on Wednesday, November 11, from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. in McMillan Library’s All Purpose Room. It is free and open to all. Please share this opportunity with your friends, neighbors and colleagues!

Incourage also provides Tribune 101 presentations to interested groups. Previous groups who have heard the Tribune story include Mead Charter Elementary School Faculty, UW-Stevens Point Learning is ForEver (LIFE) Group, downtown business owners and the Heart of Wisconsin Leadership Class, to name a few. If you are part of a group who would benefit from a Tribune 101 learning experience, contact Incourage at 715.423.3863, or

You can be part of Tribune art
The arts play a central role in the Tribune’s planning and development strategies. Through an ArtPlace America grant, Kindergarten-12 grade art educators and students from the Wisconsin Rapids Public Schools, Port Edwards School District and Assumption High School will create a handmade paper mural to be displayed in the renovated Tribune Building. This project will be completed under the guidance of Artist Thomas Grade from Menasha, Wisconsin.

Students will study various aspects of the south Wood County area such as its local industries, history, ethnic cultures and natural resources. Then, they’ll design various symbols to be incorporated into a river scene made of stamped paper pulp and luan lumber. Community members are welcome to take part in the project through the remaining open lab workshops on Tuesday, November 10 and Thursday, November 12.

Workshops will be held in the Lincoln High School Art department, Room 133, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Come celebrate and create community art!

Mark your calendar for Next Public Meeting
Tuesday, December 1 | 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. | Renaissance Learning
At the last public meeting on October 6, residents brainstormed activities at the Tribune that they would anticipate participating in once the building opens in 2017. At the December 1 meeting, residents will take the ideas from October 6 and work together towards creating a calendar of events for 2016 that would complement the anticipated use of the Tribune. Let’s continue sharing, learning and creating together! RSVP here.
