New Deal to Deliver $93 Million in Mosquito Net Savings
- An agreement between the Global Fund and 10 mosquito net suppliers is driving a price cut of 38 percent.
- Savings to the Global Fund and its partners are worth US$93 million, equivalent to 40 million additional nets.
- Agreement strikes a balance between lower prices and sustainable supply, allowing manufacturers to plan and invest.
- Nets will be color-coded and tested for durability every six months, to drive innovation.
Innovation is often as simple as looking at an old problem from a new perspective. Ahead of the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting in Davos this week, the Global Fund has developed this infographic to explain the work of our Innovation Hub.
