Transported's First Birthday!

This Monday it will be a year since our Launch event in Carter's Park in Holbeach.  We are at two events this weekend - details below - and we would love you to join us in celebrating our first year, so come and see us and get a limited edition free Transported badge!
Community Events: Transported is bringing a unique performance experience to Tulipmania at Springfields tomorrow (Saturday 3 May) and Sunday 4 May, in partnership with Lincolnshire Rural Touring… enter the jaws of a giant silver whale to be serenaded by a love-sick submariner - or a cat-loving sailor - and you might leave with a gift from the sea.  A three-minute performance for one person at a time (or two if you’re shy).  Suitable for all ages and fully accessible for wheelchair users.
Community Events: Transported has been at the Handmade in Moulton event today with Neil Baker, who has been doing some sketching in preparation for his first Sketchcrawl in Moulton on Saturday 24 May.  The top left sketch only took him five minutes!  If you fancy joining him on a Sketchcrawl to learn how to sketch and for more information on this Creative Consultation Project, visit his blog - or like his Facebook page.

Tomorrow, artists Jo Wheeler and François Matarasso will also be at this event in preparation for their Creative Consultation projects.  Jo is working on The Village Postcard Project, with exhibitions coming to local bus stops (top right - do you know where this one is?).  François' project is called The Light Ships, and is exploring local village churches. To read more about their projects, and the other projects planned as part of Creative Consultation, click here.
Transported has also recently released details of the artists and companies commissioned to do projects as part of two other strands - Open Book and Transported Live.  Click on the below links to find out more:

Our lovely Transported deckchairs have been venturing out in little groups over Boston Borough & South Holland, but you will soon see them in a different form...

A limited edition set of twelve cards has been designed to celebrate the start of Phase II with a different beautiful Deckchair representing each strand - can you collect one of each?
