From Vienna to Asia: From May 6 to May 14 2014, WKÖ offers pharma and biotech companies the unique opportunity to join a business delegation to China and Japan. There will be lots of chances to find partners and to identify methods to enter these promising markets. The following three main stages are included:
  • ChinaBio Partnering Forum in Suzhou (reduced registration fee until March 14th!)
  • Sino-Europe Biopartnering in Shanghai including delegations from France, Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands

IMP: A molecular toolkit for gene silencing

December 13, 2013 - Researchers at the Institute of Molecular Pathology (IMP) managed to overcome remaining key limitations of RNA interference (RNAi). By using an optimized design, the scientists were able to inhibit genes with greatly enhanced efficiency and accuracy. The new method facilitates the search for drug targets. Â» read more

Marinomed: Effectiveness of Marinomed's antiviral nasal spray confirmed in clinical trial for common cold

TU Wien and IMP play key role in developing new high-resolution light microscopy technique

December 5, 2013 - This new technique translates spatial (position) information of fluorescent markers into spectral (colour) information for improved biological imaging. It is described in a paper recently published in PNAS. » read more
