The Office of HIV/AIDS Housing is pleased to announce HOPWA 20, Housing Innovations in HIV Care, a compendium of practices and programs that demonstrate successes through the Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS (HOPWA) program. The publication showcases a variety of placed-based collaborations and commemorates the twentieth year of HOPWA funding. As communities work to build new partnerships to help end homelessness and reduce risks of homelessness for vulnerable households, these examples by peer organizations can also support your new efforts in addressing common challenges. Please find links to websites and related program documents which can be adapted for use in your community and learn more about the HOPWA 20 here
This program resource is also being shared with attendees at the XIX International AIDS Conference being held on July 21-28 in Washington, D.C. As demonstrated by these models, housing serves as an ideal platform for improving quality of life and is a vital part of the invigorated response to the HIV epidemic. As we gather under the conference theme, “Turning the Tide Together,” you can follow US Government’s events here and view official online coverage here as attendees discuss the latest science and policy in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
Thank you for your commitment to the successful and supportive use of HOPWA resources.
