Updated Environmental Assessment Factors and Categories eGuide Now Available

The Environmental Assessment Factors and Categories eGuide is a helpful tool for preparing environmental assessments, which are required for HUD projects involving activities such as:

  • New construction
  • Demolition
  • Reconstruction
  • Major rehabilitation

Environmental assessments thoroughly investigate the impacts of a project on the surrounding environment, community, and population, as well as the impacts of the surrounding conditions on the project. Within each of its five categories, the eGuide identifies the factors that should be considered before a project begins and explains how to assess the environmental impact from and on the project.
