Canceled: 2020 CDBG-DR Problem Solving Clinic

Due to COVID-19 and nationwide travel restrictions, HUD has decided to cancel the upcoming 2020 Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Problem Solving Clinic in Chicago, which was previously rescheduled from March 2020 to August 18 - 20, 2020.

HUD encourages grantees to instead participate in the CDBG-DR and CDBG-MIT Webinar Series – Spring 2020 described below, which is taking place now through June 2020. HUD anticipates providing additional webinars and other virtual learning opportunities through 2020 for grantees to obtain and share CDBG-DR and Community Development Block Grant-Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) information.


New Announcement: 2021 CDBG-DR Problem Solving Clinic – March 30 - April 1, 2021, Chicago, IL

HUD is also planning a new three-day CDBG-DR Problem Solving Clinic in Chicago, Illinois on March 30 - April 1, 2021 to educate CDBG-DR and CDBG-MIT recipients on successfully and compliantly implementing their programs.

More information on registration for this Clinic will be announced in December 2020. Please mark your calendars.


Reminder: CDBG-DR and CDBG-MIT Webinar Series – Spring 2020

The Office of Block Grant Assistance (OBGA) Disaster Recovery and Special Issues Division (DRSI) is hosting a webinar series for CDBG-DR and CDBG-MIT grantees to provide an introduction to each program.

  • The CDBG-DR webinars educate CDBG-DR grantees on how to implement their programs successfully and compliantly. View the schedule of CDBG-DR webinar topics.

    This webinar series is intended for new CDBG-DR grantees: FY 2018 and 2019 grantees that received their first allocation of CDBG-DR grant funding or those who received additional funding for the first time since FY 2017. As space permits, partners such as subrecipients and developers, as well as more seasoned CDBG-DR grantee staff, may attend.
     
  • The CDBG-MIT webinars provide CDBG-MIT grantees with information on best practices for transformative mitigation projects. View the schedule of CDBG-MIT webinar topics.

    This webinar series is intended for CDBG-MIT grantees. As space permits, partners such as subrecipients and developers may attend.

Additional webinars are being planned to cover topics that would have been addressed at the canceled Clinic. More information on registration for these webinars will be announced soon.
