HUD Memo: Availability of Waivers of HOPWA Requirements to Facilitate Assistance to Eligible Households Affected by August 2016 Flooding in Louisiana

The Office of Community Planning and Development has issued a memorandum explaining the availability of waivers of certain HOPWA regulatory requirements to facilitate assistance to eligible households affected by flooding in Louisiana that was the subject of major disaster declaration DR-4277 made on August 14, 2016 under Title IV of the Robert T. Stafford Act. This memorandum also announces a simplified notification process for grantees to use the waiver flexibility of HOPWA regulatory requirements identified to expedite delivery of assistance.
