This series of seven webinars will introduce participants to the tools and resources they need to develop and implement Moving On strategies and programs, which help tenants who wish to move on from supportive housing. Register today!
As part of its strategic priority to end homelessness, HUD encourages communities to explore Moving On strategies for clients in permanent supportive housing (PSH) who may no longer need or want the intensive services offered but continue to need rental assistance to maintain their housing. Moving On strategies rely on partnerships between the Continuum of Care (CoC), PSH providers including Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS (HOPWA) providers, and mainstream housing programs, such as public housing, the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program, and HUD-funded multifamily housing providers.
This webinar series will equip communities with the information they need to:
- Engage partners
- Gather resources for Moving On strategies
- Design, implement, and track outcomes of programs
- Deliver high-quality services in order to support PSH tenants who wish to move on
Training Objectives
Participants will learn how to:
- Define key goals, principles, components, services, and outcomes for Moving On programs
- Identify key stakeholders and resources and plan, implement, and evaluate Moving On programs at the system and program level
- Describe best practices in preparing, engaging, assessing, and supporting Moving On participants
Who Should Attend?
The webinar series is intended primarily for CoCs, PSH providers, HOPWA providers, and Public Housing Agencies (PHAs), but some sessions will also be relevant to other housing resource holders (such as HUD Multifamily operators, affordable housing owners/operators, etc.), local funders, and other community partners.
