Data is a critical tool for driving change in communities. The HUD Exchange is happy to announce the updated CoC-level system performance measures data since FY 2015. This data is from the initial FY 2020 submissions from early 2021 as well as updated FY 2019 submissions (if CoCs chose to resubmit FY 2019 data). While the FY 2020 data may have some quality issues for CoCs to address in future submission opportunities, it is still invaluable for getting a picture of what is going on across the country.
A few items have also been added to help CoCs create some points of comparison, including information about where CoCs are, their relative size, and how much funding they receive. Destination data quality rates submitted by CoCs by project type are newly included for 2019 and 2020 data to help facilitate data quality improvements locally. This dataset is just one more resource communities can look to as they strive to use data to make informed decisions about how to better end homelessness.
The National Summary will be updated in the near future to include FY 2020 results. This summary includes a small printable report and a link to a visualization site that allows CoCs to adjust the data for their local analysis purposes.
