HOPWA Property Standards Waiver and Habitability Requirements Tool Now Available

HUD has issued several memoranda providing regulatory waivers of certain Housing for Persons With AIDS (HOPWA) requirements to help with the nation’s response to the COVID-19 global pandemic. One of these waivers was for HOPWA Property Standards.

As a follow up to the HOPWA Property Standards Waivers Office Hours held on December 14, 2021, a new Get the Facts resource is now available. This editition includes Q&As about the waiver, HOPWA annual inspections, and HOPWA habitability inspection requirements in general.
